Oracle Discoverer 10g Training

Audience

This course is designed for new users of Oracle Discoverer whom have never used Oracle Discoverer previously.

Overview

By the end of this session attendees will be able to create Discoverer Reports to help gather useful information from your Oracle database and increase productivity.

This session will be held in a computer lab where each participant will be provided with their own PC.

The session instructor will use PowerPoint and will demonstrate live using Oracle Discoverer. Participants will then be given the opportunity to undertake hands on learning using Oracle Discoverer.

Discoverer 10g Administrator and Advanced Reporting Techniques

Audience

This course is designed for experienced Discoverer users and will explain advanced Discoverer techniques including how to customise the End User Layer via Discoverer Administrator and how to create advanced Discoverer Report using complex calculations and PL/SQL functions.

Overview

By the end of this session attendees will be able to create more advanced Discoverer Reports and have the ability to manage the End User Layer from Discoverer Administrator.

Pre-requisite

It is assumed participants have prior knowledge of:

  • Basic Discoverer Reports Development
  • Basic knowledge of calculations, parameters and other Discoverer features

  • Creating Folders
  • Custom and Complex Folders
  • Joining Folders
  • Registering PL/SQL functions from Discoverer Administrator to be used from Discoverer calculations

  • Creating smart workbooks with the ability to link worksheets
